Ministro Baloi anuncia a realização da Conferência Internacional TICAD em Maputo com mais de mil participantes

O Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros e Cooperação, Oldemiro Baloi, anunciou que a cidade de Maputo vai acolher a Conferência Internacional de Tóquio para o Desenvolvimento de África (TICAD), de 23 a 25 de Agosto corrente, que conta com mais de mil participantes registados. Revelou igualmente que estão confirmadas as presenças de 24 ministros dos Negócios Estrangeiros, 7 ministros de outros pelouros e 13 vice-ministros.

O Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros e Cooperação, Oldemiro Baloi, recebeu na tarde de segunda-feira, dia 14 de Agosto corrente, em Maputo, a Secretária-Geral da Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland, que efectuou uma visita a Moçambique, de 12 a 16 de Agosto.

O Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros e Cooperação, Oldemiro Baloi, vai participar na 37ª Cimeira dos Chefes de Estado e de Governo da Comunidade para o Desenvolvimento da África Austral (SADC), em representação do Presidente da República, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, que terá lugar nos dias 19 e 20 de Agosto corrente, em Pretória, África do Sul.

About TICAD
The TICAD Ministerial Meeting is to be held from the 24 to the 25 of August 2017 and will be preceded by a Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) which shall take place on the 23rd of August at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre in Maputo. Japan launched the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in 1993 in order to refocus international attention on the importance and urgency of African development issues as well as to promote high-level policy dialogue between African leaders and development partners.

The journalists must register on-line (https://comm.stage.ac/ticad_maputo/press_initial/) and submit a letter (request) from their media agencies to the following e-mail (gabinfo.dic@gmail.com), attaching a copy of their passports (press professional ID card for Mozambican journalists), digital photo and a form (attached to this document) duly completed. Those who are part of the official delegations need to register online first and then will have to send their details, including passport copy, a photo, the duly completed form to GABINFO (Mozambique Information Office), via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique.
